So, this blog has been sitting idle for a while though I’ve desperately been wanting to write on it. The problem is, I’ve come to a bit of an impasse about where I want to go with my blog yet again. This happened on the first blog I started documenting my first year in Colorado. And then again happened on the other blog in Colorado that had a more fun name than the first. And now. Here I am again.
The trouble now is that I’ve found myself in a quite serious relationship and therefore have been pondering all sorts of new things that make me want to be a better person that don’t involve only books and reading and librarianship and I want to start journaling about and archiving these things as well.
These "things" include (but are not limited to):
• Taking better care of myself - eating healthier, exercising more, and the like
• Being more crafty and creative - making attractive things with my own two hands
• Working on keeping a happy, healthy relationship with the bf
• Managing my finances more wisely and working on saving for the future
• Writing a book
I've finally decided I'm tired of moving from blog to blog so for now, I'm sticking with this one. Besides, more and more I feel like entering adulthood has some very "Wonderland"-esque attributes to it. It's curious, exciting and adventurous, at times frightening and sad, at other times completely non-sensical and fun. And I hope to document it all along the way.
P.S. Please be kind with me. Blogging after taking a break from it is kind of like riding a bike after not riding for years. Sure you remember the basics, but you still wobble around for a while before you really get going. So, please bear with me as I wobble. :)

YAY for returns to bloggin!
I'm intrigued about this book idea ... what kind of book, eh? I dream of a book deal or two in the future. I think I have the chops for it, life story and all. But who knows. Let me know :)
It's always been a dream of mine to write a book, I've just never actually had the guts or time to sit down and start trying it (unless you count the few chapters I wrote in middle school that was a Now & Then/Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants type of book). My goal is to write a book for teens/young adults. So, I've got the goal now I just need characters, setting, plot, purpose, etc. Shouldn't be too tough, right?
Also, any comments on the blog redesign? I'm not quite satisfied with it but I do like the birds and the colors. Just not sure they all come together well. Any suggestions oh wise one? :)
It's simple and classic, I dig. The colors are muted, but nice.
Maybe you should set the teen novel in a newspaper office? :)
That's actually something I've considered :) I could base all my characters off DN folk!
Hopefully I'd be included as the good friend who stayed up late nights watching movies with you instead of going to sleep for the long day of school and newspaper shenanigans the next day :) Not to mention the Halloween trip with lame stories and concert trips and all the other cool things that a teen easily could be doing :)
You know it! They could also form the band Wire Hangers! I think I'm giving away too many secrets in these public comments. We must keep this more under wraps!
